Vriesea Bromeliads
The Vriesea bromeliads number several hundred different species. Many hybrids have also been produced. They range in size from small to large with some growing as big as 2 meters. Vrieseas have none of the spines that are typical of many other bromeliads. They are generally kept for either their foliage of flower. They are adaptable plants that are often moved from indoors to outdoors and back. They generally do not have a requirement for intense light and typically grow best in shaded places.
